This is a cover I did on commission for Mill Avenue Vexations online zine. It was a play on some anime/manga tropes, and the author wanted a fitting image to go with it- something with some obvious Japanese-influence and a bright color scheme to match. The Yukata the main character, Vex, is wearing was purposely flipped to show that she just does not belong in the world she is thrust in in regards to this short. Roughed in Photoshop, colors and linework laid out in Painter, and then back to Photoshop for final colors/cleanup.
